Special Board Meeting: Superintendent Search Process

The Thursday, February 17, 2022, LASD Board meeting will start 1:30pm and public participation will happen using the Zoom webinar platform. The LASD Board will be meeting physically together following COVID safe protocols in the LASD Board Room. The sole focus of this Board Meeting is for the Board to discuss with the chosen superintendent search firm, Leadership Associates, the Superintendent Search Process and review a preliminary draft Superintendent of Schools Job Description (please note, this job description is just a starting point, and it will be informed and altered by the rest of the process).  Drafts of some process documents have been provided by Leadership Associates and can be found under agenda item E.1.  During this meeting the Board will:

• Go over the entire process (and request modifications if need be)
• Discuss Board and Search Firm protocols for the search
• Give recommendation regarding community and staff groups to participate in input sessions with Leadership Associates
• Discuss the timeline for the search, AND
• Review a preliminary Superintendent of Schools job description
