What's on Deck for the 1/8/2018 Meeting?

Come join us for a good time at 7pm in the LASD Board Room at 201 Covington Rd.  The entire agenda can be found here. 

Covington Elementary School will present at this board meeting.  Through out the year, each school presents to the board to highlight their unique accomplishments and programs. 

Randy Kenyon will present a Measure N Update to the board.  This is a discussion item, so there will be no action taken by the board.  You can see his powerpoint presentation at in the agenda using the link above (see the attachment under agenda item I1).  

Sandra McGonagle will present a Fall 2017 California School Dashboard Update to the board.  This is also a discussion item.  You can see her presentation at the link provided above as attachment to agenda item I2.  This presentation will inform the board on how the district has performed since Fall 2016 overall and among certain groupings of students.  

The Board will discuss and take action determining 2018 Board Committees and Appointments.  This is an action item (that is, there will be a vote on this item). On this item, the board will discuss and determine who will be on what committee for 2018.  The list proposed list of assignments can be found as an attachment below agenda item I3.

Jeff Baier will be present on Student and School Safety at Egan. This is a discussion item.  At the prior board meeting before the new year, the board directed LASD staff to do some research relating to student safety if the board is ever able to work with the City of Los Altos to open the back gate of Egan.
